Get Involved with the CSUS PCO
The Cambridge Street Upper School Parent Caregiver Organization is 100% volunteer-run by caregivers of the school that raises funds and provides helping hands to support the great work being done at CSUS.
We are always looking for all kinds of help, with varying levels of time commitment! Read on for ways you can help throughout the year.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us and we'll be happy to chat about the opportunities available. Thank you so much!
Get on our volunteer email list (for as-needed requests)
If you want to help but are unable to commit to attending monthly PCO meetings, you can be added to our volunteer list that we email occasionally when there is a specific need (e.g. can anyone bake something for our upcoming bake sale, or can someone pick up items for a fundraising event). Please fill out our contact form to join the list.
Join the PCO!
Interested in getting involved in supporting the school, teachers, and students? The CSUS Parent Caregiver Organization is always looking for new members! Here’s some info about joining the PCO:
We have formal online meeting once a month and are usually joined by the CSUS Family Liaison and Principal. Currently we meet on every third Monday of the month. To get the meeting link, contact us.
We would love for 5-8 general members of the Board, represented by parents from each grade, who try to attend all the meetings and pitch in as needed.
The major things we do task wise are (in no particular order):
Fundraising
Keeping track of the books, sending out donation receipts
Maintaining our website and our payment pages
Coordinating with staff about things they need from the PCO
Organizing and running our meetings
Supporting school events (both financially and by organizing volunteers)
If you are interested in stepping up your involvement, please consider filling in for one of the Board officer positions (President, Treasurer, and Clerk) when there is an opening.
The school staff really appreciates the PCO, and one side benefit is that you do get to know a lot of the staff!
